Overview

Summary/Objective
The Recruiter is responsible for sourcing candidates, conducting phone screens, and scheduling interviews to support hiring needs across the company. This role works closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and focuses on identifying qualified candidates through various channels. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with a basic understanding of the company's roles and hiring process.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibility

  • Sourcing candidates through LinkedIn and other channels.
  • Assisting with career fairs and networking events.
  • Scheduling and conducting phone interviews.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborates with the Talent Acquisition Specialist on current and future hiring needs.
  • Sources candidates using LinkedIn, employee referrals, networking events, and social media.
  • Screens resumes and conducts phone interviews to evaluate candidate fit.
  • Coordinates and schedules interviews with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Maintains accurate records of candidate activity and interview progress.
  • Assists in maintaining the employee referral program and tracking referrals.
  • Ensures a positive candidate experience through clear communication and timely follow-up.
  • Supports onboarding efforts by helping with new hire coordination and communication.
  • Helps ensure recruiting processes follow company policy and employment law requirements.
  • Provides updates on open positions and recruiting metrics to the Talent Acquisition Specialist and hiring teams.
  • Participates in recruiting-related events, such as job fairs or community outreach, when needed.
  • Maintains organized records of applications and resumes according to retention policies.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time; use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop or kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend networking required.

 

Travel

This position requires occasional travel.

 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • 1 year of recruiting/sourcing experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business management related field.
  • One or more years of IT professional recruiting experience.
